The Wonders Of Hiking

After a beautiful hike this morning, I realized that I don't hike enough. There are so many great things about hiking!


  1. The beauty of it all. It isn't something we feel in our metal jungles, but there are some beautiful things out in nature. The waterfall at the end of the hike for one.
  2. The quiet. It is quite quiet. Peace and serenity comes easily in the silence. And after a while you find your self thinking clearly.
  3. The friends. Hiking with friends is great. It gives you lots of time to be happy and enjoy a few great, peace driven conversations.
  4. The exercise. To many this sounds like a bad thing, but the exercise will help you live longer. The walking will make you feel healthy after doing it from week to week. You find yourself fitter and fitter.
  5. The Forest Bathing. Breathing in forest air boosts your immune system through phytocides, which kill harmful organisms hiding in your system.
